According to the Semnan University public relations report, the President of Semnan University expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of the martyred president and the service martyrs.

Dr. Seyfolah Saedodin pointed out that the goal of Semnan University is the comprehensive development of the knowledge base and we are moving in this direction, adding: We welcome plans related to this goal, and for this reason, all the elements of Semnan University are mobilized to implement programs in this field.

Dr. Seyfolah Saedodin added: Many international conferences have been successfully held at Semnan University, and the subject of the first Silk Road International Conference is one of the development programs of Semnan University because we believe that tourism has become a complete specialty and we must try to develop good exploitation for the province and the country.

The President of Semnan University stated that out of 60 cities in 20 countries, Semnan is the only representative of Iran in the Silk Road Tourism Cities Union and expressed his hope that this conference will be held successfully in November this year with the cooperation of all interested parties.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism also stated that Martyr Dr. Raisi gave great importance to the field of tourism and said that about 21 supporting resolutions for the field of tourism were approved during the 13th government period.

Dr. Shalbafiyan added: During the presidency of Martyr Dr. Raisi, we have opened 1,610 projects and 81 projects with physical progress of 80% with an investment volume of 97 thousand billion tomans.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts added: Tourism was included in Dr. Raisi's speech and he presented important points in the field of reducing road accidents.

Referring to Semnan's hosting of the first international tourism conference in Semnan, Silk Road, Opportunities and Prospects, Dr. Shalbafian said: The capacities of this conference should be used to introduce Semnan and its tourism capabilities inside and outside the country.

He stated that holding this conference is also effective in encouraging investors to invest in the field of tourism and said that besides holding this conference, memorandums of understanding can be signed with universities that are on the Silk Road to develop university cooperation.

Dr. Abdolmohammad Kashian, the head of Semnan University Tourism Faculty and the executive secretary of the first Semnan International Tourism Conference, Silk Road, Opportunities and Prospects, also presented a report on the holding of meetings and measures taken to hold this conference and said: Introducing Semnan as a tourist destination in The silk road route, branding, increasing the reputation and prestige of Semnan as a tourist destination, economic development, facilitating knowledge exchange and networking, displaying cultural diversity and cultural heritage, and supporting sustainable tourism practices and developing sustainable tourism culture are the goals of holding this conference.

Mousavi, the mayor of Semnan, also stated in this meeting that the city of Semnan is more than 2,600 years old and said that 17 million travelers and pilgrims pass through Semnan province every year, but this province has not taken sufficient advantage of this capacity.

Referring to Semnan's hosting of the Semnan International Tourism Conference, Silk Road, Opportunities and Prospects, he said: By holding this conference, Semnan can create a global outlook and bring good things to Semnan.

The mayor of Semnan added: In the sixth term of the Semnan city council, we had more than 15 resolutions specifically for the Silk Road.
