Admission of non-Iranian students at Semnan University
The admission of international and non-scholarship candidates is carried out in two stages, so that in the first stage, educational and identity documents are obtained from the applicant in accordance with the following points and a certificate of initial admission is issued according to the university's conditions.
Initial admission does not mean registration and does not create a right for the applicant to study at the university.
- International applicants who have completed their previous academic course in Iranian higher education institutions are required to submit to the university their previous academic degree certificates along with transcripts, including diplomas, pre-university degrees, associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, and bachelor's degrees.
Academic certificates and transcripts issued by universities in the candidate's country of origin must be approved by the respective embassy, missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and submitted with their Persian and English translations.
Afghan candidates who have a diploma from Afghanistan must have their documents stamped with the approval of the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul.
Non-Iranian students are required to have their diplomas verified at the Center for International Affairs and Schools Abroad at the Iranian Ministry of Education so that these documents are equivalent to pre-university degrees in Iran.
- After initial acceptance by the university, the educational and identity documents, the basic information worksheet, and the registration worksheet for non-Iranian students without scholarship must be completed by the applicant or applicants to confirm general eligibility and obtain a study permit.
Additional information for non-Iranian students residing in Iran:
- After the initial admission of the applicant, the initial registration is made and a period of three to six months is considered for the finalization of his/her admission by the university and the General Directorate of Non-Iranian Students Affairs. This period is considered for obtaining a passport and study visa and a valid legal residence. The university will not be allowed to finalize the registration until the study passport and study visa are presented.
- After being accepted to the university, the student will proceed to leave the country and obtain a study visa. After submitting it to the university, based on the final approval letter from the General Directorate of Non-Iranian Student Affairs, the registration will be finalized and he/she can start studying from the academic semester. Non-Iranian students are required to obtain a study visa for final admission.
Enter Iran and register afterwards.
