The conference, hosted by Semnan University on November 27, was widely welcomed by researchers, professors, and activists in the field of domestic and international tourism. A total of 270 scientific articles were submitted to the conference secretariat. After undergoing a professional review process, 226 articles were accepted and sent to Civilica for printing and indexing.

Referring to the publication of the articles of this event in Civilica, Dr. Najjarzadeh, the scientific secretary of the conference, said: "The quality level of the articles submitted to the First International Tourism Conference of Semnan indicates the serious attention of the scientific community to the issue of tourism and the historical role of the Silk Road. The publication of these articles in the Civilica database can pave the way for the development of applied research, the promotion of specialized knowledge, and the strengthening of the scientific position of Semnan province in the field of tourism."

He added: "This conference provided a suitable opportunity for scientific exchange among researchers and for creating a link between academic scientific capacities and the executive needs of the tourism industry."
