Hungarian Government Scholarships 2026
The Hungarian government offers scholarships to students from all over the world, including Iran, every year. This scholarship has also issued its announcement for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The scholarship program was established by the Hungarian government to promote the internationalization of Hungarian higher education and attract top international students from around the world.
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, which is the most prestigious higher education scholarship program of the Hungarian government, offers a wide range of courses for international students with excellent academic records at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. The scholarship aims to support the internationalization of Hungarian higher education and its continuous development, to strengthen the international relations of the academic and research community, and to enhance the reputation and competitiveness of Hungarian higher education worldwide.
Based on bilateral educational agreements between Hungary and the governments of sending countries (including Iran), it is currently available on five continents in almost 80 countries and regions, attracting over 5,000 international students each year. More than 600 full-time study programmes are offered to applicants, covering all higher education fields at all levels, including part-time and doctoral programmes.

The scholarship is fully funded and includes the following:

- Monthly stipend of approximately 140 euros
