For the first time, the universitys name was on the list of top universities in the Times 2020 ranking system

Prof. Seyfollah Saedodin, the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology of Semnan University declared that Semnan University has been ranked by Times-Higher-Education-Institute in 2020. Names of 1396 universities throughout the world have been mentioned in the last ranking in which 40 universities are from Iran.
