The Country’s First Specialized University Hotel Management Training Center was Opened at Semnan University.
Simultaneously with the holding of the first Semnan International Tourism Conference: Silk Road, Opportunities and Prospects, the country's first specialized university hotel management training center opened at the Faculty of Tourism of Semnan University.
According to Semnan University Public Relations, the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism of Semnan University stated that the permission to establish a hotel management major was obtained last year by the Faculty of Tourism of Semnan University and said: At the beginning of the new academic year, 40 hotel management students began studying in this major.
Dr. Kashian added: The Faculty of Tourism of Semnan University is the first state-run tourism faculty in Iran, and the hotel management major is one of the newly established majors of this faculty, which accepts undergraduate students.
Also, the Innovation Center of the Faculty of Tourism of Semnan University began operating today.
Davud Maddah, head of Semnan University's Science and Technology Park, said: "This important event is a turning point in the scientific and technological development of Semnan province's tourism sector."
Stating that this innovation center was established with the aim of creating a specialized space for developing new ideas and technologies in the tourism industry, he said: "This center is the first intra-university innovation center in Iran, and students' ideas are nurtured in this center and then they are provided with the opportunity to use them in the park."
The mural of Semnan University's Faculty of Tourism was also unveiled today in the presence of university officials and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
